Losing hair is so darn painful. Today, we are so much drowned in our busy lives that we take out very less time in taking care of our skin and tresses. As a result of our carelessness, we see them getting damaged. And the rest is damage is done by the chemicals and hair colors and other styling products that we use today. Hair fall after bathing, hair on pillowcases, even on the chair at your office, ugh! the list is long!

Not only this, the hair treatment today is so expensive that many of us cannot even afford it. So, no worries. I am here at your aid. What I have experienced and noticed is that one needs the touch of nature to look beautiful.

Here are 9 hair care tips to keep your hair healthy. Thank me later.

1. Hot oil champi

I bet your mother or most probably your grandmother might have told you about the magic of hot oil champi. Take some coconut oil, olive oil, and almond oil and mix them all together in a bowl. Heat it in an oven or keep the bowl of oil in hot water. Direct heating will destroy its nutrients. Apply the lukewarm oil to your hair and massage it with your fingertips. Apply it to the ends as well. Keep it overnight and wash it off the next morning.

The oil massage will increase the flow of blood to the hair follicles and will strengthen the roots. It will also nourish your hair.

2. Avocado hair mask

Avocado is rich in nutrients such as vitamins K, C, B5, B6, E, potassium, and folate also has a small quantity of magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin), copper, iron, zinc, protein. All these nutrients are known to promote healthy hair.

Just peel 2 avocados, remove the seeds and put them in a bowl. Mix one tablespoon of coconut or olive oil and massage it in your hair. Remove it after some time. You will see the result in a month.

3. Saffron and milk

Ladies, the ancient and medieval India used milk and saffron not only for their skin but also for their hair. This was known to be a remedy for hair fall.

Just take one glass of milk and mix two pinches of saffron. Add licorice powder too and make a paste. Apply this paste, remove it after 15 to 20 minutes. Saffron is known to fight hair fall and alopecia.

4. Henna

Dump all those hair coloring products that you are using and switch to henna. Henna is a wonderful herb which colors and nourishes your hair, fights hair fall and prevents split ends too.

Just add some coconut oil, curd, and one egg white to about 2 tablespoons henna powder and soak it overnight. Apply it in the morning and wash it with water after it dries. Apply warm coconut oil or olive oil to the hair and wash it in the morning with a mild shampoo. You will find the best of results in two months. Apply this mask once in a month and see the magic.

My long tresses are a result of my mother’s efforts. One very special remedy that my mother used for my hair was making Indian gooseberry oil or popularly known as Amla hair oil at home.

All you need to do is grate some fresh Amla and squeeze out the juice in one tablespoon of coconut oil. Just whip the juice and oil with a spoon and keep the mixture in hot water and avoid the water to get mixed with the solution. After the oil has melted, massage this oil every day to your tresses.

You will see the results of reduced hair fall within two weeks. You will also find your locks shinier than before.

6. Egg mask

Do I need to tell you how amazing this white little thing is for our hair? An egg mask made of curd, lemon and egg white works wonders for hair fall as it is rich in sulphur, phosphorous, selenium, iodine, zinc and protein, which together helps promote hair growth.

Not only this, you can also try mixing egg white, honey and olive oil for better hair growth. Just mix the three magic ingredients and apply it to your hair. After 20 minutes, wash it off with a mild cleansing shampoo.

7. A proper diet

Apart from every kind of care and pampering, first follow a diet. A healthy diet helps a lot in maintaining healthy hair. Include foods that are rich in biotin, proteins, vitamins, and omega fatty acid. You should eat more eggs, green vegetables, citrus fruits for healthy hair. Also, keep yourself hydrated. Drink a lot of water.

8. Change your lifestyle

You know you can also shift to these habits for reduced hair fall.

Meditation: Try meditation. Your hair fall problems may be because of high stress. Meditation will help you reduce stress and help you have a calm mind.

Abandon drinking and smoking: Party life, drinking, and smoking sounds cool but it actually harms your hair and also your skin. Split ends increase as alcohol actually dehydrates your hair.

9. Shift to silk pillowcases

Yes! Using silk pillowcases helps to reduce tension between your hair and leads to less hair fall.
